Teen Sitcom Breakdowns & Templates (ZIPPED FILE) – This file contains the following:
- DOG WITH A BLOG Breakdown (Season 1, Episode 18) – This is a good example of a merged A/B story, separate C story episode. This episode is particularly interesting in that it follows a Cold Open/3 Act structure instead of the more standard Cold Open/2 Acts/Tag structure.
- SAM AND CAT Breakdown (Season 1, Episode 4) – Strong sample of a merged A/B/C story episode in which all of the stories combine and collide by the end.
- GOOD LUCK CHARLIE Breakdown (Season 3, Episode 2) – Great example of classic A, B, C story structure where all of the stories operate separately and independently from each other. Of note is the ‘soft tag’ at the end of episode; the episode doesn’t cut to a commercial before the tag.
- HANNAH MONTANA Breakdown (Season 2, Episode 15) – An oldie but a goodie! Another good example of a hybrid structure. A/B stories are merged, and the C story stands alone.
- BLANK STRUCTURE TEMPLATE – Cold Open/2 Acts/Tag with A,B,C as separate stories
- BLANK STRUCTURE TEMPLATE – Cold Open/2 Acts/Tag with A/B/C as merged stories
Blank TV Unity of Opposites Character Chart – A handy blank chart for you to use to fill out your cast of characters.
Virtues Definitions – A list of virtues you can use to help define your characters.
